Special Educational Needs (SEN)

We teach mild to moderate Special Educational Needs children aged 18 months to 10 years. The Montessori Method of education has proved to be of great benefit to children of all abilities especially the Special Educational Needs children because of its direct, practical and hands on approach in teaching. The Montessori equipment is an added aid to their learning.

The SEN Department

Our SEN Department at My School comprises of six specially qualified Teachers and two Occupational Therapists. The teachers create a unique individualized programme for every child to help develop their skills. To create an all-rounded, holistic approach, our programme consists of an initial assessment, regular IEP (Individualized Education Programme) meetings and parent-teacher meetings with other professionals such as speech language therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals who also work with the children.


The department works with children with a wide range of Special Needs comprising of but not limited to the following:

  • Hearing impairments
  • Physical impairments
  • Cerebral Palsy
